The pages here describe how the work goes, what the warning signs look like, and what usually drives the price. They are written for the person reading them at home, and they are general by nature.

A tree is a specific thing standing in a specific place. Whether one is dangerous, and what it will take to bring it down safely, depends on the species, the lean, the root plate, what is underneath it, what it would land on and how a machine can reach it. None of that can be settled from a web page. If you are worried about a tree, have somebody look at it.

We do not hold arborist licensing, so nothing on this site is advice about the health of a tree, and we do not prune, trim, plant or treat trees. Where a tree needs that kind of care rather than removal, the right person to ask is a licensed arborist, and we will refer you to one.

Where these pages show a cost range, it is third-party published data for Connecticut, attributed to its source and dated on the page. It is there so you can plan and so you can tell a fair number from a bad one.

It is not our price list. We do not publish a price list, because the number depends on the job. A real number comes from a written scope after we have looked at the work.

Tree removal and land clearing happen outdoors, on ground nobody can fully see in advance. Weather, access, buried services, what is inside a trunk, and what the town or the utility says all affect what is possible and when. We will tell you what we expect and what we are unsure about, and we do not promise a specific date or a specific outcome on a page you read before we ever met.

If a tree is on a building, blocking the only way out, or touching a wire, this website is the wrong tool. Call 911 first if a line is down, then call us on (203) 751-2451. Do not go near it, and do not wait for a reply to a form.

Trees in the public right of way and trees in contact with utility lines are generally not the property owner's to remove, and are handled by the town or the utility. Local permit and association rules vary from one of our seventeen towns to the next. What is written here is a starting point, not a ruling about your address.
