Material off site and the ground brought toward bare, which is what a foundation, a driveway or a septic field actually needs before anything else starts.
Property Expansion and Brush Removal
Reclaiming the part of the yard that thorns, vines and volunteer saplings took while nobody was looking. Usually more ground than the owner expects.
Lawn Renovation
Fixing why the grass failed rather than seeding over the top of it again. Compaction, shade and drainage are the usual three, and seed alone does not answer any of them.

What does tree removal cost?
Nobody can price a tree from a photograph, and a number given over the phone before anyone has walked the property is a number that moves later. Published Connecticut price models put the whole span, the smallest tree to the largest, from a couple of hundred dollars up into the high five thousands, and most ordinary residential removals sit a long way below the top of that. Those are market figures rather than a quote from us. Yours comes in writing, free, after somebody has stood in the yard. What decides where you land is this:

Joe Hennessey runs the jobs himself. Customers here tend to name him rather than the company, which is the useful kind of small: you are not explaining your property twice to two different people, and the person who promised you something is the person standing in the yard when it happens.

We do not take on pruning, trimming, planting or tree health assessment, because those need arborist licensing this business does not hold. If the tree is alive and you want to keep it, that is an arborist's job and we will tell you so and point you to one.

We work from Oxford, across the Naugatuck Valley, up into the Litchfield hills and south toward New Haven. If you are inside that ring the answer is yes, and the drive is short enough that a storm call gets answered the same night rather than added to a list.
The things that decide your job change at the town line, and not by a little. Derby, Ansonia, Shelton and Woodbridge are United Illuminating while most of the rest are Eversource, and calling the wrong one on the night a tree comes down across the wires costs you the hours that matter most. The wetland review reaches 50 feet in some towns, 100 in others, 150 from a listed watercourse in Monroe and 200 from the big water in Bridgewater. Whether the tree on the verge belongs to you or to the town is settled the same way, locally, and getting it wrong is how people end up paying for work that was never theirs.
